🧹 Village Hall Clean-Up Day – A Community Effort to Be Proud Of

On Saturday 7th June, Old Weston came together for a fantastic Village Hall Clean-Up Day – and what a day it was!

With the sun shining and spirits high, more than 20 local residents rolled up their sleeves to help give the hall a much-needed refresh – inside and out. It was a brilliant show of community spirit and teamwork, and the results speak for themselves.

πŸ› οΈ What We Achieved:

  • πŸ–ŒοΈ Full interior repainting – the entire inside of the hall now looks clean, bright and welcoming

  • 🎨 Fence re-paint – a smartened-up look all round

  • 🧼 Deep cleaning – from floors to corners, the whole hall was scrubbed spotless

  • 🚿 Pressure washing of exterior walls

  • πŸͺ΅ Crack and hole filling – inside and out, making the building more sound and secure

  • 🧻 Bathroom retiling – fresh and clean facilities for all

  • βœ‚οΈ Hedge trimming – giving the garden and play area a neat finish

It truly was a total transformation – and it wouldn’t have been possible without the fantastic team of volunteers.

πŸ™Œ Special Thanks

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Stephanie, Mason, Chris, and Tanner from Alconbury and Molesworth – your hard work and dedication made a huge difference!

And to every single person who gave up their Saturday to help – thank you. Whether you painted, cleaned, carried, swept, or just offered encouragement, you helped breathe a new lease of life into our village hall.

πŸ’¬ Looking Ahead

We hope everyone enjoys the fresh new look of the hall – it’s now ready to welcome events, activities, and celebrations once again!

Stay tuned for an upcoming event on the 28th June for our next community project of continuing the refresh work.
